In short

roulera uses no tracking, no analytics and no advertising. There is no account, and we build no profile of you. The only cookie is functional: when you pick a language in the language switcher, the cookie “sprache” remembers that choice for one year, so the site does not send you to the other language based on your country. Without a choice, visitors from Switzerland, Germany, Austria and Liechtenstein get the German version; for this, Cloudflare reads the country of your IP address, which is not stored.

Delivery

The site and the map tiles (kacheln.roulera.com) are delivered by Cloudflare, Inc., USA. Cloudflare processes your IP address to deliver and protect the site.

The transfer to the USA is based on the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, under which Cloudflare is certified.

Fonts, map style and all other files come from roulera.com itself. Unless you click «Load Google reviews» (see below), your browser contacts no other third-party servers.

Details from Google

Some spots show a «Load Google reviews» button in the map window. Only when you press it does your browser load the Google Maps JavaScript API from Google LLC, USA, and show ratings, price level, opening hours and website as Google supplies them. Before that, the page makes no connection to Google at all.

When you click, Google receives your IP address, details about your browser, the address of the page and the identifier of the place. What Google does with them is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and the Google Terms of Service; the Google Maps Terms of Service also apply to the map content. The transfer to the USA is based on the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, under which Google is certified.

roulera stores none of this. Our data holds only the identifier of the place (place_id).

In your browser

Your saved list and your choice between light and dark are stored locally by your browser (localStorage). Neither leaves your device. If you share your saved list as a link, the saved places are part of that address.

Your rights

You can request access, correction and deletion; write to us at the address above. Since we keep no accounts and no usage data, we usually hold nothing about you.
