Port de Pollença: 48 hotels, 34 with details for cyclists

Port de Pollença is our first base town where we do not just list the spots, but have recorded the bike-related details hotel by hotel. This article sets out what we have learned since then and what we still don’t know. As of 19 September 2026.

What is there

Port de Pollença has 59 spots: 48 hotels, 8 bike rentals and 3 bike shops. 42 of them have details recorded: 34 hotels and all 8 rentals. The 3 shops and 14 hotels are still candidates without details; 10 of those 14 hotels at least have a website.

For us, a hotel without details is not bad, just unknown. A bike room we know nothing about is neither a yes nor a no. That is why the spots with details come before the candidates, and the candidates stay visible. How we record details is explained on the data page.

What did not make the list

Five rental companies are left out on purpose, because their location could not be pinned down to the metre: Pollensa Cycling, Mallorca Bike Hire, Bike Experience Mallorca, 54/11 Bikestation and Ultimate Bike Hire. Two candidates were dropped: Tolo’s, because its website shows a restaurant rather than a café, and Holibikes Tours & Coffee, because its website could not be reached.

What we know about the 34 hotels

A hotel has ten features, each with three states: yes, no or not yet checked. Counted across the 34 hotels with details:

  • Bike room: 25 yes, 9 not yet checked. No hotel with no.
  • Locked bike room: 10 yes, 24 not yet checked.
  • Bike wash: 10 yes, 24 not yet checked.
  • Bike box storage: 9 yes, 25 not yet checked.
  • Half board: 7 yes, 1 no, 26 not yet checked.
  • Breakfast time: set for 10 hotels, 08:00 at eight and 07:30 at two.
  • Laundry service: 13 yes, 21 not yet checked.
  • Rental partner: 3 yes. Own rental fleet: 1 yes.
  • Wi-Fi: not recorded for any hotel.

The figures show where we stand: the bike room is the most frequently recorded feature, because almost every hotel website mentions it. Bike box storage and breakfast time are known less often, because they appear on websites less often. Not yet checked does not mean no.

Three hotels have a bike room, bike box storage and a breakfast time together: El Vicenç (08:00), Flora (07:30) and MarSenses Puerto Pollensa Hotel & Spa (08:00). El Vicenç is also the only hotel where bike room, locked bike room, bike wash, bike box storage, breakfast time, laundry service and rental partner are all set to yes. At Duva, locked bike room, breakfast from 07:30 and a rental partner are set to yes. At Cabot Pollensa Park Spa, locked bike room and bike wash.

A no is just as much an answer: at la Goleta, half board is set to no, while bike room, locked bike room, bike wash and breakfast from 08:00 are set to yes.

The eight bike rentals

All 8 rental companies have details recorded: Pinarello Experience, 2GoCycling, Clips Mallorca Cycling, Hürzeler Fahrradverleih, Pro Cycle Hire, Rent March, Bike Island Mallorca and Mallorca Cycling Holidays. For 6 the groupset is known, for 7 the included accessories, and 4 of those include pedals. Delivery to the hotel is set to yes for one rental (Clips Mallorca Cycling) and to no for two (Pro Cycle Hire, Bike Island Mallorca). 3 rentals offer a bike fit adjustment. The price level is not set for any of them. At Bike Island Mallorca the accessories have not yet been checked.

One business is one spot. Rent March and Bike Island Mallorca are bike rentals that also act as a shop, Pro Cycle Hire is a bike rental that also runs a cycling café, and Mallorca Cycling Holidays is a bike rental with shop and cycling café. That is how Port de Pollença went from 64 to 59 spots: the same businesses, no duplicate markers.

What remains open

14 hotels and 3 shops without details, no Wi-Fi information for any hotel, no price level for the rentals, no breakfast time for 24 of the 34 hotels. If a hotel confirms one of these details to you, you can let us know, ideally with a link to the business’s own page.
